How to use it
Three steps and you’re done
- Enter your detailsThe network name and password, exactly as set on your router (case-sensitive).
- Test the codePoint your phone camera at the screen before printing and make sure it connects.
- Download or print itPlace it at the front desk, on tables or in the waiting room, at eye level and in good light.
Is it safe to type my Wi‑Fi password here?
Yes. The code is generated inside your browser: the network name and password are never sent to our server or stored. You can check it by going offline after the page loads: the tool keeps working.
Which phones can read the code?
The iPhone camera (iOS 11 or later) and most recent Android phones read it without installing anything: just point and tap the prompt to join. Older devices can use a QR reader app.
Which security type should I choose?
Almost every current network uses WPA2 or WPA3: choose “WPA/WPA2/WPA3”. Use WEP only for very old routers, and “No password” for open networks. You can check it in your router settings or on its label.
If I change the password, will the QR still work?
No. The code stores the password as is, so you need to create and print a new one after changing it. For businesses, a separate guest network, apart from the internal one, is a good idea.
Can I use the code in my business or on printed material?
Yes, it’s free and has no watermark. Download the SVG for professional printing (sharp at any size) or the PNG for screens and documents.
