How does the WhatsApp QR code work?
The code stores an official WhatsApp link (wa.me) with your number and, optionally, a first message. When scanned, the phone opens WhatsApp with the chat ready and the message typed in; the person just taps “Send”. They don’t need to save your number first.
Does it work with WhatsApp Business?
Yes. The link opens a chat with the number whether you use WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business. The number must have an active WhatsApp account.
Is my number stored anywhere?
No. The code is generated inside your browser: the number and message are never sent to our server or stored. There’s no middleman either: the QR points straight to WhatsApp, so it keeps working no matter what happens to this page.
What is the first message for?
It tells you where each customer came from and saves them from typing. For example: “Hi, I saw your sign in the store and would like more information”. Use a different message in each place (flyer, counter, vehicle) and you’ll know which one works best.
Can I use the code in my business or on printed material?
Yes, it’s free and has no watermark. Download the SVG for professional printing (sharp at any size) or the PNG for social media, screens or documents. Before printing, scan it with your phone to make sure it opens the right chat.
